Carol Smith

A graduate of Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School, Carol is a highly accomplished and critically acclaimed actor, theatre maker and producer of more than 25 years. Her theatre work includes classical, premieres of new indigenous works, and site-specific - collaborating with such visionary artists as Jean Betts, Ken Duncum, and Peter Evans.

She has produced most recently innovative exhibitions, theatre installations and immersive programmes for the states leading disability arts organisation. Being drawn to projects that have meaning, beauty, and matter led her to Reclaim the Crone - a timely piece that accesses our humanity through a butoh sensibility.
